Guy Bryant is 61 years old and has had over 50 foster teens walk through the loving doors of his home over the past 12 years. He has opened his heart and reached out to each one of them, offering care and love. Guy works for the Administration for Children’s Services and his care for the teens is evident in how they wanted to honor him.
Guy Bryant has taken in over 50 young men over his last 12 years as a foster dad.
Since 2007, Guy has been taking young men into his home and giving them a safe place to live. Most of the teens who walk through his doors are 18-21 years old.Source: YouTube Screenshot
Many have aged out of the typical foster care system, but are still in need of a transition and some support before becoming established on their own. At one time, Guy had nine young men living in his apartment and rented the floor above him to make room.

During an interview with Good Morning America, Guy Bryant, along with several of the teens currently living with him, humbly told his story. The young men were praising him, offering their thanks for Guy trusting them and bringing them into his home. Guy’s unconditional love and support are evident in the respectful tone in how these young men describe Guy. Guy also has a unique and generous gift to the teens – their own set of house keys.Source: YouTube Screenshot
This gesture not only gives the teens some freedom but also shows that Guy is willing to trust them with a big responsibility and makes them feel that it is their house too. But Guy was about to get the surprise of a lifetime when he was brought over to a wall, showing several pictures of teens he had fostered.Source: YouTube Screenshot
Then the door slid open and many of the teens he had taken in stepped out to give him a hug. Guy, brought to tears, was touched by seeing them all again.

To these teens, having someone who cares for them can mean the world to them. Often, the teens are bouncing from home to home, and are not given anyone to rely on. Their past experiences, many times, have left them scarred and calloused to the world and they find it hard to trust some people due to what they’ve been through. But when there are people like Guy, who are willing to open up to them, hear them out, and give them respect, it changes their whole outlook on life.Source: YouTube Screenshot
“Meeting Guy was like…alright, there is someone out there. There’s still more to gain than to just shut the world off,” said Gregory Bell, one of Guy’s foster teens.
It is so wonderful to hear of caring and thoughtful people like Guy who are going above and beyond to make other people feel loved. We need more Guy Bryants in the world.Source: YouTube Screenshot
